BoraBora

Bora Bora is one of the Leeward Isles that make up part of the Society Islands in French Polynesia. Tahiti is the most popular amongst these islands, which are a semi-autonomous part of the French Republic. Today Bora Bora is home to 18 resorts. The tourist season lasts all year long. Bora Bora’s main attraction is its, calm and crystal-clear lagoon which has a stunning multi-shaded blue and turquoise appearance.The island is dominated by the majestic Mount Otemanu and Mount Pahia, two towering volcanic peaks of black rock that jut out of the center of the emerald-green island.



James Michener has written of this island as being one of the most beautiful in the world. This island is most popular for snorkeling but also for Shark and Ray Feeding Dives.Many species of sharks (harmless) and rays can be seen in the transparent water. This is one reason why most people miss the hidden trails creeping up the hillsides, most of which are difficult to discern through the thick jungle growth. The natural beauty of the water, lagoons and tropical drinks lures tourists here again and again.
