Times have changed for little Harley Farms, a nine-acre patch of land at the end of a country road in Pescadero. In nine years, it’s gone from 16 to 200 goats. Harley and her small staff produce and ship an ever-growing amount of fine, homemade cheeses across the country to specialty stores every day.
There other booming business is Eco tours to their farm. Harley gives three tours a week, to groups that book in advance. She will open her farm to a special tour group March 31 - those who sign up for the Coastal Eco-Fest, a three-day weekend eco-tourist package that runs through April 1
So if you want to learn how cheese is made and buy the freshest of deliveries, then do get out there. The goat feed on the freshest of grass specially planted and the cheese is decorated with edible flowers as you can see in the photo graphs.

The grand finale ends in the cheese shop, with goat, feta and ricotta cheeses laid out invitingly.
The Eco-Fest aims to put the Coastside’s scenic and agrarian assets on display for a hardy group of adventure-seeking tourists. Besides a visit to Harley Farms, participants also will receive a guided tour through Pescadero Marsh, home to more than 100 species of birds, and of Thomas Fogarty Winery, complete with a gourmet wine and cheese tasting.
