A new project all is set to turn this wetland into Sunderban Ecoworld. It would be involving local people after training them. Contract farming will also help sustain the project and also put an end to farming illegally. Rupam Banerjee its vice president is quoted to have said
‘The project is expected to provide direct employment to nearly 600 people and indirect employment to 1250,’
Sunderbans is the world’s largest delta, formed by the Ganges, Brahmaputra and Meghana rivers it includes the largest mangrove forest in the world.
