After more than 53,000 gallons of oil had leaked into the home of the world’s most abundant variety of coral reef plants and animals the survey of the damage is being done.
This was a real setback for the people of Phillipines , for apart from agriculture and fishing this country is dependant on tourism. The spill has damaged several marine sanctuaries. Though the department of Tourism Secretary Ace Durano has said that only seven out of the 24 beaches in the island are affected.
That means you might still find a pristine beach if you go there and you will definitely be giving a helping hand in preserving its now fragile eco system. You could help save endangered species such as the Green sea turtle and Hawksbill turtle.
